We meet Sayid.
Sayid is exploring the Island. He finds a cable comin out of the ocean, follows it and gets caught in a trap. He has been captured by the French lady Danielle. She shocks him and keeps asking him where Alex is. Hurley builds a golf course.
In his flashback we learn that while he was in the Republican Guard he was supposed to kill the woman he loved. he ended up letting her get away. he carries her picture around.
Sayid fixes Danielles music box and she unties him. She says her team got infected by something and she had to Kill them. Alex is her daughter who was taken from her by mysterious people on the Island which she calls The Others. She lets Sayid go and he hears whispers in the jungle.
