Micheal locks Jack and Locke in the armory, takes a gun and sets out after Walt. Kate and Sawyer arrive at the hatch and let them out. Sawyer Jack and Locke decide to go after Micheal. Kate wants to go but Jack refuses. They get shot at.
In the flashback we see Jack deseperately trying to pull off another surgical miracle, but is unable to. He gets kissed by another woman. He rejects her and goes home only to find out his wife Sarah, is leaving him.
In the dark, Locke tries to convince Jack to go back. And then the guy that shot Sawyer on the Raft shows up. He demands they give him their weapons and go back. Jack still refuses, so he brings out a hostage. Kate had followed them anyway and gotten caught. The Other warns Jack never to come any further inland than where they are. They trade the guns for Kate and go back to camp. Jack sits with Ana and decides to form an army.
