We meet Boone and Shannon
Sayid flirts with Shannon. Boone gets jealouse. Jack and Kate plant seeds in Sun's garden. Locke and Boone go hunting. Boone wants to tell someone about the metal hatch they gound.
In the flashback we see that Shannon and Boone are step-siblings. Shannon tricks him in to paying guys to leave her and usually takes a cut. Boone was in Ausatrailia to 'rescue her' from her latest mistake. They get drunk and end up sleeping together.
Locke knocks out Boone, ties him up and puts hallucinogenic paste on his head. Kate learns Sun speaks English. Boone sees Shannon get attacked by the monster and sees her dead body. Locke gives Sayid a faulty compass. Boone returns to the beach to go after Locke but sees it was all an illusion and Shannon is fine
