Micheal is looking for his son Walt. Locke is teaching Walt to throw knives. Micheal freaks out and threatens Locke. Sayid shows Jack the papers he and Shannon have been working on. Micheal decides to build a raft. Charlie gets Claire's diary from Sawyer.
In the flashback, we find out Micheal is an out of work artist. His skanky girl ran off to another country on him and took their son Walt with. She cut him completely out of Walt's life. Walt is shown to have some kind of powers, strange things happen when he's around. Walt's mom gets sicjk and dies. Micheal was in Austrailia to come get Walt, his stepdad ditched him.
Walt gets attacked by a polar bear and Locke and Micheal work together to rescue him. Micheal gives Walt all the letters he sent through the years. They bond. Boone and Locke are in the jungle and Claire comes stumbling out.
