Ok, my theory is that these 'Others' people are warped scientists who live on the Island and I think that Rousseau(?) is one of them. We can all tell that she's a bit barmy anyway, the scientists got to her brain. So I think that the 'others' somehow made the plane crash on the island so that the people on it can be used for experiments and stuff. I also think Locke is like a psycho or something and he subconciously knows something about these scientists. All the characters have seen each other in one way or another and are connected so it's obvious this isn't all just a coincidence, it was meant to happen. Everything will probably end up being connected to Claire's baby, the others seem to want it pretty bad. I'm still confused as to how a boat ends up on the middle of an island. That french woman has taken Jack and co there too and this is the place where an infection killed that french womans family and friends right? She knows it's dangerous but she still takes them there. And how come she didn't get infected before and die like everyone else? She's in on it!
In good ol' England we're waiting for Wednesday to come along so we can see the final 2 episodes of season 1 so my theory might look a bit silly come Wednesday night.
