This ones a lil complicated. Its mostly a Desmond flashback. Its very hard to explain.
On Island, we see Hurley and Charlie raiding Sawyer's Stash. Desmond walks up and asks them both to come with him. Locke and Sayid tell them about Eko. Desmond takes off running and pulls Claire from the water, saving her from drowning.
Claire thanks Desmond for saving her. Charlie is jealous and suspicious. He decides to get Desmond drunk hoping he'll spill his secrets. When they are all good and wasted, Charlie starts interrogating Des and Des tackles him.
We cut to the whole flashback story for most of the Episode. (It's too complicated to go in to, sorry)
We come out of the flashback where Des is still on top of Charlie. Hurley pulls em apart. Desmond breaks down and tells Charlie about "seeing the future" , That it wasn't Claire he was trying to save, it was him, but its hopeless. He tells Charlie that no matter what he does, Charlie's going to die.
