Open on a flashback with a goth looking Claire who has just had a car accident and is screaming for her mom.
On Island we see Claire waking up to Charlie with fruit who asks her to come on a picnic.
In the Jungle, Sayid and Locke argue over the shack blowing up.
Claire and Charlie are off on their picnic when Desmond shows up. He tries very hard to get Charlie to go hunting when Claire exclaims she has an idea. She runs to Sun for help, she wants to catch one and tie a note on it.
In the flashback we have Claire in the hospital being questioned by the police about the car accident. The policeman tells her her mom is dead.
In the Jungle, Kate questions Mikhail some more and he tells her that she would not understand about him and his story because she is not on some special list. He says none of them are because they are flawed. They come across a giant security fence.
Claire and Sun cut up fish to use as bait for the birds.
In the flashback, we see Claires mother is basically a vegetable. Her aunt and her doctor discuss the situation with her. The tell her her mom is not expected to recover but not to worry, that she will be well taken care of. An anonymous benefacted has payed all expenses.
On island we see Jin almost catch birds but Desmond fires a gun and scares them away. Claire yells at him
At the fence Locke shoves Mikhail through and he starts foaming at the mouth, is thrown backwards and collapses. Kate and Sayid yell at Locke for wasting a potential hostage. Kate decides they should climb the fence. Sayid tries to help and ends up finding explosives in Locke's bag.
Claire yells at Charlie.
In her flashback, we see Claire
walikng in on her Aunt and Christian Shepard arguing. Christian tells Claire he's her father.
At the fence we see them using a tree to climb over.
In the flashback we see Christian coming into the store Claire works at. He convinces her to go out for a cup of coffee and they talk. He tries to convince her to pull the plug on her mother.
On the beach, Claire follows Desmond and he catches her a bird. He tells her about his visions and stuff.
In the flashback, Claire is in her mothers hospital room talking to her. She apologizes for life and breaks down crying.
On the beach, they have wreitten a note. they stick it in a shooter bottle and tie it on the birds leg.
In the jungle , Kate Locke and Sayid see Jack playing football with Tom.
